BOUNCE HOUSE RULES

Bounce houses are supposed to be fun but they aren't fun when they aren't used correctly, in fact, they could be dangerous.

First, you use a bounce house at your own risk.

Rule Review

Bounce houses and slides must always be supervised when in use

**Bounce with similar sized children** Make sure when multiple kids are in a bounce house that they are with other children who are about the same size.

Please use common sense when using the bounce house

1 person at a time getting in or out
1 person climbing the slide stairs
1 sliding down the slide
Do not climb the wrong way on the slide
Don't jump on the slide

If a unit is a water unit please keep a close eye on all children using the unit. 1 child at a time and they must be off the unit before the next child begins to use it.

General Bouncer Operation and set up

* Blower- attached to the back and plugged into an independent power source. Flip the switch and the air will come on and fill the bounce house. The air must remain on for as long as the bounce house is in use. Children should not turn off blowers.

*zippers- You can unzip any zippers you might see and this will enable air to escape more quickly and aid us in putting the bounce house away. Children should  not unzip zippers.

* apron- This is the front entrance of the bounce house. Children (or adults or teens) should climb up the center, one at a time, of the apron to enter or exit the bounce.
*netting- This is generally on the sides or top of the bouncer and helps maintain it's shape and cohesion and to keep children in the bounce area.

* similar sized children- WE said it in the rules but it is important
enough to mention again. Children should be close in size when bouncing. Parents can not bounce with their kids. If a serious injury is going to occur it is going to be because this rule was broken.
*There should be a mat or mats at the entrance and exits of the bounce house.

*An attendant adult must be with the bounce house at all times.
*No children may go near the blower, or in rare instances the generator. These things should be blocked off.
*Emergency Evacuation- If a bounce house begins to deflate do not stop to find out why. Get children out first and then try to figure it out. Calmly and firmly tell the children to crawl out the front of the bounce. If it has started to deflate hold open the entrance and reach in to pull children out. Generally this does not happen. If it does the usual cause is electrical in nature (the blower is plugged into a bad outlet or overused outlet, the generator is out of gas etc). Try to restart the bounce house only after all children are accounted for.

BOUNCE HOUSE SPECIFIC RULES:

We have:

Slip and Slide: Participants should run, walk, or climb onto this unit. They should not get in over the sides. There should be 1 person using the unit at a time. Extra care should be taken entering or exiting this unit. When a child or adult gets off the next may enter the unit. This unit is for adults or children.

Fun Run- This is a slide bounce unit, but mainly slide. Smaller children may have difficulty getting in so they may need aid. They should follow all the above "slide" rules.

5 in 1 All Star Sports Obstacle, this unit includes 2 basketball hoops, an obstacle course, and a 14 foot slide as well as a bounce area. Can hold 8 children up to 160 pounds each. Can hold 2 adults/teens. They should follow all the above bounce and "slide" rules.

4 in 1 Excaliber and Extreme Combo. This has a bounce area, climb, slide. Can hold 8 children up to 160 pounds each but it's better to only send 6 in at a time. Can hold 2 teens/adults.They should follow all the above bounce and "slide" rules.

Rainbow slide, This Combo Unit has a bounce and an external slide. Can hold 6 children or 1 teen or adult. They should follow all the above bounce and "slide" rules.

Chuggy Choo Choo, Castle maze and Galaxy Explorer work the same way)- This is an interactive play unit (that looks like a train) and is basically one big long wind tunnel. It has mini stations throughout as well as a slide. Fun but a pain in the butt. Staff stands at the front and makes sure all the wind doesn't escape. When a child goes in or out pull the doors shut to help it re-inflate. Special Chuggy Rules: "Go straight through and out the other side, do not go back the wrong direction." I guarantee you will have to chase children out of this unit for your entire event. It's just how this one works. Can hold up to 6 children. WE FREQUENTLY allow only 1 or 2 in at a time. NO TEENS OR ADULTS. They should follow all the above bounce and "slide" rules.
13x 13's and 15 x 15 bounce houses,  (Dolphin Bounce, Dog Bounce, Regular, Super Fun, and Super Bounce) These are basic square bouncers. Fun, Bouncy, square. Stay off the sides. Make sure not all the kids are bouncing on one side or they could tip it. They should stay out of the corners too! 6 children in at a time. They should follow all the above bounce rules.

Obstacle- 40 feet of fun. 2 kids enter at a time. They should be VERY close in size so no one gets squished. When they are through the end section then you can send the next 2 in. Kids should exit out the middle at the front and not from the sides.

4 Lane Slide- 2 kids going up at a time. They should stay in their own lanes. No holding hands or touching each other on the slide. When the 2 start down the slide you can send the next set but they should nto slide until the kids in front of them are off the slide. THis unit should not be "bounced" on. They should follow all the above "slide" rules.

Slide when combined with obstacle- 2 kids at a time start on slide and follow slide rules. Keep an eye on the obstacle to make sure kids are getting through it ok and pace yourself accordingly. Kids should be aware that where the 2 units attach they will sink so they should try not to step there.

Magicland- Lots of magical fun with a rideable dragon, castle hide out, but an insane step that children should be helped in and out of the unit. No slide. No going over the sides. No climbing on the sides. They should not jump off the dragon or climb the castle.
